SIREN SONG

They ask the sun to witness what they hear

As it comes to search for the source that draws it near

The wind and trees, they whisper in a hush

As it dances o’er the face in a still rejoice

At last, there it is, said wish, said call, said voice

It casts its golden light on that faint blush

Never rush

Never rush

The calm outside, the still defies the truth

There's nothing here that can attempt to soothe

The storm I feel inside, the sweet turmoil

A tempest silenced by unearthly foil

The emptiness is urging me to leap

I cannot move, I cannot run nor sleep

This goes deep

This goes deep

The golden light, the light it flies those sparks

As in the trees, the trees it mutes the larks

And as your siren song, the song rings out

All else goes silent, still the world throughout

Like a tightened rope, a rope you coil

Around my neck, my mind, my heart, my soul

I promise you that I’ll be there for you

I promise you that this love, this is true
